Taz Bhatia, M.D.

Integrative Medicine Doctor

Dr. Taz Bhatia, MD, is a board-certified physician, specializing in integrative and emergency medicine, pediatrics and prevention, with expertise in women’s health, weight-loss, hormone balance and nutrition. She is the author of the best-selling books “Super Woman RX” and “The 21-Day Belly Fix.” Personal health challenges in her twenties combined with a broken health care system motivated Dr. Taz to pursue an alternative definition of health and healthy living. As a young resident, she was sick and without answers, and began searching for help to heal her health issues. Studying various systems of medicine including Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Ayurveda, she found a wealth of information not yet taught in conventional medical schools. It led her to opening her now nationally-recognized practice, CentreSpring MD (formerly Atlanta Center for Holistic and Integrative Medicine). Today, Dr. Taz and her team work relentlessly to find a patient’s core health problems, their centre, in order to spring them forth in health, pulling from multiple systems of medicine, including integrative, functional, Chinese and holistic medicine.

Q&A

What is your wellness philosophy?

My wellness philosophy is that wellness should be customized, individualized, and targeted to each person. It is almost like fashion where each individual has their own style and things they love. With an exploding wellness market, the consumer and patient has a plethora of opportunities to figure out their wellness journey, but this is where there can also be so much confusion.

What brought you into wellness?

My own health journey brought me into wellness and I am so grateful. Early in my medical practice, as a young resident, I began searching for answers to my own health issues. Studying various systems of medicine, I found a wealth of information not yet taught in conventional medical schools and was able to heal myself. I feel better today than I ever did thanks to this amazing journey. Now, my purpose is to help each person understand their unique make-up, going beyond just the medical to become a healthy, whole person.

What does You. We. All. mean to you?

It sums up what wellness should be perfectly. It should start with each person recognizing their potential and with that energy is the natural next step of helping someone else, which then becomes a movement. It is essentially the mission of each us, vibrating at our highest frequencies and then shifting culture and multiple industries forward.

What's your favorite ritual?

I love getting weekly massages, acupuncture, and getting into a great yoga or pilates class whenever I can.
